Laws the deal with sexual harassment and employment dismissal because they think I lied?
The "illegal" immigrant chef I work with tried to rape me one night after closing, and when I told my boss and he spoke to the chef the following day and he denied everything and called me a lier. He said it was just an excuses to not work anymore. Than said I had other problems saying I call out sick (I just got over the flu). What legal actions can I take.
Seek a good lawyer or file an EEOC complaint and they will investigate the charges. If upheld they will give a signed statement o proceed and do so. You have 180 days from the event to file a sexual harassment case.
