employment in England for a Thai national?

I have a friend who wishes to work in England as a chef. where would he go for help initially ? No time wasters please! Thanks.
he is 38 years old, he can pay his own airfare. He worked in Japan previously.

The best thing to do is to get in contact with the home office to make sure he’d be able to get a visa for the type of job he is after. As far as i know they are discouraging eastern trained individuals (ie doctors and nurses) and trying to recruit from European countries instead with or without train profession.

You could also look at jobs in the newspaper contact the employers and ask them if they would be willing to employ immigrant workers from far east. It cost employers in time and money to go through the motion.

Unfortunately if he lived in a rich country he may get fairer response and won’t think twice about letting him in UK.
