Are chefs really professional, why are they always shouting to juniors.how about employment regulations?
Professional does not mean patient, nice, polite, quiet or understanding. It means a person belonging to a profession, regulated by a governing body who can punish them. There is usually a code of conduct.
I don’t think chefs come under this definition.
Professional is a word often wrongly used to mean expert. Chefs are expert but not in a profession.
What’s wrong with shouting at people anyway? Why does everyone get so upset unless they get their hand held and arse wiped?
Just fucking get on with it, head down and plough on. That’s what this country was built on, not pansies getting upset cos they get shouted at.

Are you talking about TV shows – or real life?

Chefs shout in busy kitchens so people can hear, it’s a very noisy place. Forget the TV shows, proper chefs do not shout aggresively as they would not keep staff. No employment law states whether you can be shouted at.
